The Picket Chair, designed by Michael Schoner, features a distinctive detail: the seat and backrest intersect in an unexpected way. This way the design creates the illusion that elements of the chair are floating. Crafted from oiled bamboo, it is made to provide comfort and durability for years, suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings.
Schoner posed a simple yet ambitious question:
"Can I create a chair using planks of a single, standard size?"
With the Picket Chair, he delivers a compelling answer - showcasing that simplicity can be striking.

For in- & outdoors: You can easily enjoy the Picket Chair indoors as outdoors. Make it even more comfortable by adding the cushion set, custom made for the Picket Chairs (both with or without armrest).

1. How do I maintain my Picket Chair?

2. Should you order a seat cushion as well?
Ergonomics have been taken into account in the design. This makes the Picket Chair comfortable even without a cushion. However, for longer periods of sitting, or for anyone who prefers a soft seat, it is possible to add the cushion set for 49 euros.
