Sleeping with the windows and doors open on a hot summer night. No more hours in front of the couch binging series, but gathering on the lounge sofa in the garden at night, some with a book, others with a game, or simply enjoying the spectacle of the sunset.
Even when the sun has long since disappeared behind the horizon, but the desire to go inside is nowhere to be found, effortlessly bring the indoors outside with portable and rechargeable lamps, so you can still enjoy your book, the summer evening and each other's company for hours. The sofabed by designer Hade Steenwinkel is inspired by the idea of having a place to both sit and sleep comfortably on the same sofa. The sloping angle of the mattress creates a relaxing seating position. Because the frame has an equal sloping angle, the mattress becomes flat when you rotate it 180 degrees. With just one quick turn, you’ll have a comfortable spot for an afternoon nap in the open air. The two-in-one sofabed is perfect for smaller spaces like a balcony or an urban garden. The Sofabed frame is available in Oxide Red and Agate Gray, the mattress and cushions are available in Light Gray and Faded Orange.
Both the mattress as well as the pillows are made from a durable waterproof material called Acryl and have a ventilating underside. The mattress and cushions are water-resistant and dry quickly after a heavy downpour. During prolonged periods of bad weather, or outside the summer season, we do recommend storing the cushions indoors. We also offer the Sofabed Cover, which protects the cushions and extends their lifespan. Ideal for times when the cushions are left outside temporarily, such as overnight, during a rain shower or a short break.
